You'll see the immense popularity of this card if you keep scrolling this list, as many similar ones have also sold for a ridiculous price. It's no surprise, considering Ja Morant's massive popularity, incredible skill, and social media presence. Unfortunately for this owner, the card has dropped to a valuation of only around $150,000, but maybe he's banking it for the long haul!

2. 2019-20 Panini National Treasures Emerald #118 Ja Morant Signed Patch Rookie Card (#2/5) – BGS GEM MINT 9.5/BGS 10

This list is an excellent look into jersey patches and the different values they bring to a sports card. Although this card is in better overall condition than the most expensive Ja Morant card ever sold, it was bought for $40,000 less. Crazy! As a matter of fact, it even has a letter from the Grizzlies' name, which the number one card doesn't have. This card was bought two months after the one listed above, so maybe it was just a dip in the price? Who knows? All I know is this is one dope card.

I wouldn't be surprised if this card took the number one spot in the future. The higher mint value and the cooler patch of the jersey make this a much more valuable 1/1, in my opinion.

Our first shift from the Panini National Treasures Collection, this Panini “Immaculate Collection” features the iconic NBA logo from Ja Morants jersey, alongside his signature. A MINT 9 means this is a pristine card, and the uniqueness of the NBA logo raised the price exponentially. Again, this card almost seems like it should be worth more than the number one option, given the higher mint rating and the addition of the NBA logo, but it seems that a lot of these cards were sold months after the Ja Morant market hit its absolute peak in early 2022. This is my favorite card so far. 

5. 2019-20 Panini National Treasures #118 Ja Morant Signed Patch Rookie Card (#25/99) – BGS GEM MINT 9.5/BGS 10

$240,000.00

You just knew we wouldn't be going away from the Panini National Treasures for long. This unique card costs a whopping $200,000 less than the most expensive Ja Morant basketball card, even though it contains a very cool patch of Morant jersey. It's in beautiful condition, obtaining a 9.5 MINT rating. 

 

Another strange aspect of this card's history is that it was sold only a day before the most expensive Ja Morant card on this list, on February 6th, 2022. Why is this card worth so much less despite being a higher mint rating? If you have any ideas, let us know in the comments!

Only five of these cards exist, so the scarcity makes it quite an expensive item. An excellent PSA MINT of 9 and an iconic pose of Morant mid-crossover tinged with gold are great to look at. A high cost considering the lack of a signature or jersey patch, but Morant is such a unique talent it isn't a surprise!

Another great condition card in this set, it has another unique-looking patch that isn't a specific letter or the NBA logo.

This card mentions it's a 1/5. Maybe this is because it's specifically game-worn? Or perhaps it's just a listing error. Anyways, this might be my favorite of the collection. The letter “G” encapsulates Morant's attitude in the NBA and is the first letter of the Grizz team name. He is a ‘G' in all senses of the word, and as one of the rising stars in the NBA, he will keep growing in confidence and swagger as his career continues.

Panini is really going, same same, but different. Turning the prized card sideways gives it a different look. Featuring a Ja Morant with a bit more hair but not much else different, the horizontal collection isn't nearly as popular as the vertical collection. Maybe if we move to horizontal smartphones, this could be the ultimate stash for the future!

Straying from the Optic Gold, we have another similar card priced at the exact number as the card sold above. On a different background, the gold is a bit duller in comparison. Additionally, we have Morant posing for the shot instead of the card featuring a game shot of the point guard. It still has the same autograph, and the same Grizzlies logo, while also incorporating a ticket from his rookie season. With only an 8.5 MINT rating, I think the buyer should be happy they picked this up for the same price as the card listed above.

13. 2019-20 Panini Flawless #LM-JAM Ja Morant Logoman (#1/1) – BGS MINT 9

This is, without a doubt, a beautiful-looking card. Featuring the NBA logo that so many of these expensive basketball cards have, this card is rated at a 9 MINT, and you can see why. It's very bright and easy on the eyes, which I love, and that logo looks perfectly crisp and colorfully contrasts the white background of the card. Another fun fact about this card? It is the second most expensive Ja Morant basketball card sold in 2021. And both were bought on the same date! March 8th, 2021. The vertical NBA logo-man featured above sold for an astonishing $140,000 more! Do you think two collectors battled for the vertical version of this beautiful card, and eventually, the loser had to settle with picking up this horizontal version?
