Despite being a small market and only having one team, the Packers have one of the most devoted fan bases in the country. The team is community-owned and Lambeau Field is consistently sold out, even when temps are sub zero.
Green Bay is NFL Football and the fans in that town truly live for Packers football.

Boston is home to two of the most iconic venues in sports (Fenway Park and Boston Garden) and Boston fans are known for their fierce loyalty and deep-rooted traditions in supporting their teams. We became accustomed to seeing Red Sox fans cry about the curse and their many misfortunes. Not anymore.
Boston sports fans have been spoiled with championships over the past … years. Since the Red Sox 86 year championship drought, Boston sports fans have enjoyed 11 championships in the the major professional sports leagues (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL). Boston fans love their teams like no other, they let you know about it, and we just have to listen.
3. New York, New York
Teams: Yankees (MLB), Mets (MLB),
This is not really a fair fight. New York is home to more than 10 professional sports franchises, 29 World Series Titles (35 if you count the New York Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers), 5 Super Bowl Titles, and 11 Stanley Cups. The cross town rivalries are the best. New York fans are plenty passionate about their fandom and some of them are even willing to tell you so.
Madison Square Garden and Yankees Stadium? Fogettaboutit!
You may not like New York fans but you can't argue they should be on this list.
4. Chicago, Illinois
Teams: Cubs and White Sox (MLB), Bulls (NBA), Bears (NFL), Blackhawks (NHL)
Home of Daaaa Bears and Daaaa Bulls (…and several other notable franchises), Chicago is undoubtedly one of America's great sports cities. Wrigley field. The Cubs/White Sox crosstown rivalry. MJ (The true GOAT). The Blackhawks iconic jerseys. Ditka.
I could say more but that pretty much speaks for itself.

It hurts to type this but Philadelphia deserves to be on the list. Philadelphia fans are some of the most passionate and vocal in the country, known for their unwavering support and sometimes over-the-top intensity.
Yes Philly fans are insufferable for those outside Philadelphia. Yes they throw stuff at Santa Clause. But you can't argue they aren't one of the most passionate fan bases in sports.

This video pretty much sums it up.
Bills fans are absolutely nuts and I'm here for all of it. The weather is terrible, the Bills are much better but still kind of disappointing, and the fans give zero effs about anything. They just keep showing up, drinking beer, and breaking folding tables.
If the Bills do break through and win a Super Bowl in the Josh Allen era, Bills fans will be tons of fun to watch.
7. Kansas City, Missouri
Teams: Royals (MLB), Chiefs (NFL)
Kansas City fans are incredibly devoted, particularly to the Chiefs, creating one of the best atmospheres in all of pro sports at Arrowhead Stadium. @Ron_Kopp shared this tweet of the moment Chiefs fans broke the Guinness World Record for loudest outdoor stadium:

Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid took one of the best fan bases in sports and poured gasoline all over it. Kansas City is a great sports town, in spite of only having 2 teams.
The weather in Buffalo is brutal. Still, Bills fans show up in droves, body paint and all. Buffalo fans are consistently some of the most loyal in all of pro sports. The Tampa Bay Rays can have the best team and the league and be playing indoors and still not sell out. The Bills can be plain awful, sub zero temps outside, and the place will be packed.

Pittsburgh is home to the terrible towel, 3 rivers, and Mark Lemuix. The blue collar citizens of Pittsburgh love their Steelers to the core. The Steelers have one of the most storied traditions in the NFL and capture the spirit of the American sports fan.

St. Louis fans are actually known for being knowledgable and cordial. That doesn't mean they aren't passionate.
The St. Louis Cardinals have one of the richest traditions in recent Major League history and they love good baseball. The Cardinals are owners of 11 World Series titles, giving the fans of St. Louis an immense sense of pride in their baseball team.

Cleveland fans are known for their resilience and undying loyalty despite experiencing many ups and downs with their teams. The Browns are a notoriously bad franchise. The Cavs have had many struggles of their own but finally broke through and won an NBA Championship with Lebron in 2016.
Images of the dawg pound and Cavs fans burning Lebron jerseys are the first thing that come to mind when you think of Cleveland fans. Cleveland fans may not have the championships to show for it but they are undoubtedly some of the most passionate fans in sports.
11. Detroit, Michigan

Detroit fans are renowned for their unwavering loyalty, especially for the Red Wings, one of the most storied franchises in the NHL. Their support for the maligned Detroit Lions is especially unwavering. Detroit fans love their Lions, in spite of the long struggles the Lions have had.
Detroit fandom was on full display in the 2023-2024 NFL Playoffs. The Lions won their first playoff game since 1991, played in the NFC Championship, and narrowly missed out on a Super Bowl berth (Lost 34-31 to San Francisco).

Seattle fans, particularly the “12th Man” for the Seahawks, are known for their die-hard support. Lumen Field is consistently ranked as one of the loudest stadiums in the NFL and the Seahawks have become known as one of the most devoted fan bases in all of sports.
